Frequently Asked Questions

  • For massage to be therapeutic, a dog needs to be in a "rest and digest" state. If a dog is experiencing extreme anxiety, high stress, or over-excitement, the nervous system remains on high alert, which can make physical touch counterproductive or even stressful. In these unique cases, a mild sedative prescribed by your veterinarian can help bridge the gap. This allows your dog to fully relax, ensuring they receive the maximum physical and emotional benefits of the session.

  • A standard session usually lasts between 45-60 minutes. However, we always move at your dog’s pace. If it’s their first time, we may spend more time on introductions and light touch to make sure they feel safe before we begin.

    • Avoid feeding a full meal at least 1 hour before the session.

    • Avoid heavy play or long runs right before we meet.
